ASLMS News: Annual Conference Provides Collaborative Approach
The American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) kicks off its annual exhibition and conference, LASER09. The conference will be held through Saturday, April 4, in National Harbor, Md., which is outside of Washington D.C.
This annual conference features an inclusive policy in the name of advancing laser and light technology understanding, bringing together physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, aestheticians, scientists and researchers.
And as part of this collaborative effort, many of these health care professionals are taking part in the Fundamentals of Laser in Health Care Course, offered for the second year in a row. When attendees complete this course offering today, they will be able to take a specific knowledge-based exam to measure their proficiencies. The goal is to provide health care professionals with some standardization in light and laser knowledge and understanding in an ever-developing field.
