General Policies
ADVANCE for Healthy Aging seeks original articles by dermatologists, plastic surgeons, cosmetic surgeons and age management medicine physicians. Suggested article topics should be submitted in writing via e-mail or by phone to the editor of ADVANCE for Healthy Aging. If the topic is accepted, a copy deadline will be assigned. Once accepted, manuscripts become the property of ADVANCE for Healthy Aging and cannot be reproduced elsewhere without permission from the editor.
Preparing The Manuscript
Articles should be typed and double-spaced on standard letter size paper. Articles should be six pages in length, depending on the subject matter. The article should follow writing guidelines of the Associated Press (New York: Addison-Wesley Publishing Company Inc) and adhere to common English usage. Use generic names for all references to equipment, unless discussing specific features or comparing models. When a trade name is necessary, list the manufacturer's city in parentheses. Include a title page with a suggested title and the name or names of the authors. (Headlines are written by the editorial staff, using the suggested title as a guide.)
Include degrees, professional titles and current position, along with a street address, e-mail address, and daytime telephone number where each of the authors can be reached. All statements based on published findings or data should be referenced appropriately. References should be listed in numerical order in the text and at the end of the article. Illustrations, photographs and charts are encouraged and add impact to the article. Photographs sent by e-mail should be in jpeg or tif format. Color or black-and-white prints are acceptable in some instances. All illustrations should be labeled to provide appropriate credit to the owner or creator. Provide a suggested caption describing what is depicted. (ADVANCE for Healthy Aging does not use patient names in captions.)
Editing
Manuscripts accepted for publication become the property of ADVANCE for Healthy Aging, which reserves the right to edit all material. All submissions are edited for clarity, style and conciseness, according to the ADVANCE for Healthy Aging format.

- Articles about new and innovative approaches and treatments in medical aesthetics and age management medicine.
